I am a TIIMSA certified trainer of Interim Ministers and the only such trainer endorsed by the United Methodist Church. I have been training clergy for specialized ministry since 2005.
The Intentional Interim Ministry Training Seminar (IIMTS) is a three-phase event spanning six months and led by a TIIMSA certified trainer. The 92 hour course begins with a four day gathered event designed to sharpen one’s general ministry skills, provide new insights for working as a change agent, introduce tools and techniques for use in short-term leadership, and orient one towards “intentional” ministry.
This first phase of training is followed by a six month practicum during which time the participants initiate two changes in their home setting, using the insights learned in Phase I. Participants prepare written reports of their experiences to share with classmates during Phase III. They also talk through their experience with a coach. Each participant receives a minimum of two hours of one-to-one coaching.
The final phase of the training is a four-day gathered event when theory and practice are more fully integrated. The reports prepared during Phase II serve as case studies and the basic tools introduced in Phase I are reviewed for deeper understanding.
I offer training classes three times a year. For information on classes or to schedule a training event in your area, contact me at email@example.com.
